Wow!  What a fantastic morning we have all had.  Great support and team work. Our heart rates were certainly raised with all the skipping and different activities going on.  The weather was amazing too.

Maddie's Bunny Visit

On Friday we were very luck to have Chubby McFluff visit with Maddie's Mum and brother. Chubby is a gorgeous Angora cross rabbit. Maddie told us a lot of interesting information about Chubby and how to look after him. Did you know that a rabbits teeth never stop growing!

Act of Kindness

Today we discussed what an act of kindness is and what sort of things people do.  We watched a short video clip, linked below, showing the chain effect of random acts of kindness.  We had time to discuss ideas and think carefully about what sort of things we could do within school and home as acts of kindness, in preparation for making an 'Act of kindness Advent Calendar'.

Pic Collage

Rimu 5 had a lesson from Rimu 3 this week on how to use Pic Collage, an app on the ipads.  They learned quickly and had great fun experimenting.  We are now using the app to publish our cultural reports. 

Ukulele Concert

This morning the whole school was treated to a Ukulele concert from Shane and his students.  They play every Thursday morning before school.  Jenna from our room was part of the concert.  Here are a few photos and videos of the event.
